This 2 day hands on workshop will explore a range of surface treatments and provide the opportunity for you to explore and experiment with the various techniques. These will include:
- Incised line and wash
- Resists - paper, card, tape, latex, tyvec, plastic etc - Resisting the adding of underglaze, slip and texture, working with single layers then multiple ones, trying images as both positives and negatives.
- Water etching - A form of resist. Trying a simple single layer, then multiple ones and exploring the use of different materials as with resists.
- Paper and slip printing
- Plaster printing
- Sgraffito
Leading to the combination of these techniques which is perhaps the most interesting bit, where we can explore combining two, three or more of the techniques.
